Theme of Love and death

       In this blog I Analyse some major theme of the entire series of Harry Potter which is given below.
                          

Theme of Love and Death:


                 Love and Death are major theme in J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter books. At the very beginning of the story we hear that Harry's parents have died. The shadow of death hangs over Harry. He learns that he was intended to be a victim. He narrowly escape from death, again at the close of the first two books "The philosopher's stone" and "The chamber of secrets" and third "The prisoner of Azkaban" is concerned with his pursuit by an escaped murder. At the end of the fourth book a school friend of harry is killed befor his eyes and he himself barley escapes again. In the fifth book "The Half Blood prince" even his great and seemingly indestructible mentor, Dumbledore. So, we can say that theme of death constant visitor to Harry's world. 
   
       Theme of love is directly connected with Harry's parents love. It is not only Harry's parental love who always protect harry from evil thing but it is love of Severus Snape for his mother who always protect Harry. Harry has special power because of his parents. He has ability to survive and also killing of Voldemort is directly shows his parent's specially his mothers love towards Harry. Lily, Harry's mother, preferred to protect him and her love at the cost of her life gave Harry the protection that turned the Dark Lord's cues against himself.  

        Several kinds of human love are depicted in the books that are the love of parents for children, love of husbands and wives and the love of friends. Any of these may require the supreme sacrifice. The friendship of Sirius and Lupin and James for pettigrew would have demanded their self sacrifice rather than betrayal. That is all about theme of love.
